Educator of the Year
Nominate the MEC Educator of the Year!
Each school year, the Middletown Education Collaborative recognizes a Middletown Public School educator as Educator of the Year for his or her outstanding accomplishments over the past school year. This award is MEC’s way of recognizing the commitment of Middletown educators to provide an outstanding education to Middletown students
Middletown’s educators are hard-working, committed and creative professionals – each of whom bring a unique point of view and strategy to elicit the best in their students. Our Educator of the Year is someone who has inspired students, parents and possibly, the entire community through their work to enhance and enrich education in the Middletown schools.
We ask that you, members of the Middletown community, nominate a Middletown educator that you think has done an outstanding job during the 2011-2012 school year. You can nominate a teacher, teacher assistant, volunteer, mentor, extra-curricular instructor or administrator in the Middletown public school system to be the Educator of the Year.
We choose our Educator of the Year from your nominations. It is always a difficult choice because all of the nominated educators are extraordinary.
The Educator of the Year award will be presented at our Grants Showcase at Forest Ave. Elementary School, May 9, 2012. This event is open to the public – we invite you and your families to attend.
Nominations close April 16, 2012. You can submit your nomination on-line by filling in the form below:
