About
The Middletown Education Collaborative was established to fill a necessary and important niche in our educational community: a not-for-profit entity whose mission is to fund and promote unique opportunities in the Middletown Public School System. As in the best of our nation’s schools (private, public or charter), Middletown needs to support the “extras” that make all the difference in the classroom experience, but never seem to have the funds when budgets are finalized. Whether it is a certain field trip to drive home a lesson or “hands-on” materials to gain understanding tactically, our schools can enliven the lessons and the classroom experience in order to make the learning experience richer.
The Middletown Education Collaborative will raise funds in order to provide grants to all in the public education community. Teachers, administrators, clubs and arts organizations, etc, can all be recipients of grant funds. This way, good ideas that can benefit our schools can be added outside the operating budgets.
This is a true Collaborative in every sense of the word. We wish nothing but to create the most dynamic educational environment possible. We want all of our children enrolled in our public schools, grades K-12, to have every opportunity that the creative, interesting and talented people of Middletown can hope for.
